The Auto Locksmith training course is a two-day weekend course costing £550 plus VAT, and covers the basics of auto entry (both picking and bypass methods), auto lock decoding and auto key cutting and programming.
It will be a combination of bench and live training. Auto tools will be available on the day at greatly reduced costs

Basic Auto Entry
- Tibbe lock opening using Safe Ventures, ICL and Souber tooling
- Wafer lock opening using jigglers, hand picks, overlifters and impressioning
- Laser lock opening using laser picks, overlifters and jigglers
- Air bagging and wire rod opening using various equipment and methods
- Pin tumbler lock picking and impressioning
The training is both on the bench and on live vehicles. Tools taught include overlifters, most versions of Tibbe tools, airbags, wires, jigglers, impressioning and hand tools.
Basics of Lock Decoding
Within this session you will be taught to use the Lishi and Keyprint lock decoders as well as the ICL and Safe Ventures Tibbe decoders. You will also be shown how to strip down and decode various locking systems, such as:
- Ford
- Vauxhall
- VAG
- Renault
- etc etc
Basics of Key Cutting and Programming
In this session you will be taught to use the available code software, cut-to-code machines and cut-to-code blocks, on various vehicle types, and shown the basics of programming using the OBD system, AD100 System, cloning keys, common faults and fixes, key programming and pin code extraction using diagnostic equipment.
Each candidate will be given a manual covering entry, decoding and OBD point guide for programming. Again, the whole session will be a combination of bench and live training and will be fully hands on.
